Spotify Wrapped 2023 is finally here.
Now that the holiday season is in full swing, there’s one thing everyone’s talking about: Spotify Wrapped. On November 29, Spotify surprised everyone with its 2023 Spotify Wrapped results, which include your best songs, best artists, and much more.
Despite what you might assume, Spotify Wrapped never calculates your streaming results for an entire year. The monitoring period always begins on January 1 and ends on October 31. This gives Spotify time to gather all of its results and prepare the artist’s graphics and messages in time for December. However, it also means that none of your November/December listening habits are ever included. This may also have to do with a certain desire to avoid the results of typically Christmas songs.
As for the accuracy of the results, Spotify remains tight-lipped about how it calculates them and whether or not any listens are left out. Although it’s possible that, like Apple Music, Spotify Wrapped only counts online song streams and doesn’t track offline song streams. In other words, a part of your listening habits may be missing.
